Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails Exchange drummer and change Josh Freese for Ilan Rubin

Two months after Foo Fighters Ilan Rubin introduced her new drummer, Foo Fighters have two months after the separation from Josh Freese. The Hollywood reporter confirmed. Rubin jumps after a 16-year residence ship with nine customs nails, for which the prospect of an upcoming, drummer-free tour came into a convenient solution: they set Josh Freese. It is unclear whether Rubin is permanently on board Foo Fighters or just a tour member.

Although Foo Fighters do not have to officially recognize their attitude, Nine Inch Nails posted an Instagram story in which Freese – which was also her drummer between 2005 and 2008 – with the heading “Let's go damn it”. You start a North American tour in the Oakland Arena on August 6th. Foo Fighters' next data are an Asia tour in October.

Rubin had toured Nine Inch Nails since 2009, a term that included the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction of the band in 2020, in which it was included. He also drove for Paramore, Angels & Airwaves and Danny Elfman. After a Hollywood reporter Source, Rubin, had committed nine inn nails over the course of the year, but said Trent Reznor last week that he had “accepted a job with another band”.

Foo Fighters brought Freese in 2023 as the successor to her late, long -time drummer Taylor Hawkins. After two years together, Freese announced in May that the band would let him go and gave no reason to “go in a different direction with their drummer”. He added: “I have never been released by a band, and although I am not angry – just a little shocked and disappointed. But as most of them know that I am always a freelancer and have come between the bands, it's good.”

Foo Fighters published her first track since his departure, “Today's Song”, this month, which was delivered with the band with a note with Freese for his time and that said without his “thundering magic” the “story” of the band in incomplete. But here we arecame out in 2023; his predecessor, Medicine at midnight, won the best rock album Grammy a month after Hawkins' death.

The drummer news, Freese wrote On Instagram:

Leaving nine inch nails after the end of 2008 was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made. My wife and I were expecting our third child, and I knew that I had to step back from life on the street to be at home with my family.

Nin was a band that went off the stage every night and thought: “It was incredible. We absolutely crushed it.” And it wasn't just a feeling that it was a certainty. This degree of intensity, pride and satisfaction after every show is something that I have never experienced anywhere else.

Now it is incredibly excited to be on tour with a trent and the crew that is best to do it evening after night. Being part of this energy again feels fantastic again.

If you have the chance to catch one of these shows in the next six weeks, you will be absolutely unforgettable.

I hope we'll see you out there.
