Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White circle the main roles for Aaron Sorkin's continuation of the Oscar winner 2010 “The Social Network”, according to the project.
While no offers were made, Sorkin met both Madison and White on the project. The film is still very much in the development phase and still has to get the green light from Sony.
Sony refused to comment on the casting.
Sorkin will write and lead the follow-up to David Finchers 2010-Original. During this film of the creation of the ubiquitous social media platform and the rise of his founder of Junge Genius Mark Zuckerberg, the sequel is based on Jeff Horwitz's “Facebook files”. The series of articles published by Wall Street Journal in 2021 revealed Facebook for its harmful effects on young people and their knowing distribution of misinformation, which contributed to political violence.
Todd Black, Peter Rice, Sorkin and Stuart serve better than producers for the sequel.
The casting is tedious when Madison comes from her Oscar winner in Sean Baker's indie favorite “Anora”. Next, she plays together with Kirsten Dunst in “Reptilia” and was reported that she is in conversations for the “The Masque of Death” from A24. “The Social Network” received eight Oscar nominations and was taken home for the best adapted script, the best processing and the best original score. The film cost 226 million US dollars at the global box office.
