The long -time guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, unveiled the moving final text message, which he received from the late Metal icon after Black Sabbath's farewell concert.
“The last text I got from OZ said: 'Zakky, I'm sorry, it was like a crazy house there. I didn't see you.' He goes: “Thank you for everything”, Wylde told guitar world In an interview published on Tuesday.
“It was only we talk and said:” I love you, buddy. ” That was it.”
In the interview, Wylde revealed that he had expected Osbourne – who died on July 22nd at the age of 76 – at some point after the farewell concert by Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England, on July 5, but that never happened.
The guitarist who came to Black Sabbath in 1987 – explained that he wanted to give the prince of darkness a look back at the chaos behind the stage after the show.
“Everyone and her mother were in the backstage of the change of blade and I just wanted to take a break,” said Wylde, noting elsewhere in the interview that her priority was to “ensure that OZ was okay.”
“It was definitely quite astonishing. Oz to see on stage when Sabbath was finished, that's the last time I saw him,” Wilde recalled.
Wylde, 58, also informed how the black Sabbath front man was like a family for him.
“Oz was simply the best. I have my father, who was a veteran of the Second World War, and then Ozzy, who was almost like an older brother,” said the guitarist of the outlet.
“There was almost an age difference between us and our relationship. With our relationship it was fun to drink-but if I ever needed advice, I could speak to him.”
The families were indeed so close that Osbourne received a special title.
“Ozzy is the godfather of our eldest son,” said Wylde. “No matter whether I play with him or not when Sharon called me and my wife and said:” People, can you watch the house while we are on a business trip? “I would do it.
The legendary rocker died last week after fighting the Parkinson's disease and the effects of a quad bike -accident from 2003.
Ozzy's wife Sharon Osbourne and children announced his death in a six explanation on page.

Ozzy was honored with a funeral procession in Birmingham, England on Wednesday.
