Lee Isaac Chung is in conversations to lead the prequel of the “Ocean”.

The filmmaker, nominated by Oscar, has already shown an impressive versatility and has passed from the tender family drama “Minari” to the big budget disaster film “Twisters”. Margot Robbies Luckychap produces the Warner Bros. film. There has been no line-up yet, but at some point there were reports that Robbie would reunite with her co-star of “Barbie”, Ryan Gosling on the raid film.

The current script comes from Carrie Solomon, who wrote the Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman Rom-Com “A Family Affair”. It is based on characters by George Clayton Johnson and Jack Golden Russell. Not a word about the plot, but something tells us that theft will cross some double and a crack team from charming representatives.

In the trilogy of “Ocean's”, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts were seen, and a spinoff “Ocean's 8” showed Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway. The films cost over 1.4 billion US dollars at the global box office. At one point, Clooney said he intended to visit the Danny Ocean figure again in another film. “It is as if we were too old to do the jobs that we could do earlier,” he told the New York Times in February.

For Ocademy Awards, chung was nominated for the direction of “Minari” and for writing his script. The other projects of Chung are “Munyurangabo”, which was premiered at the Film Festival from Cannes to critical recognition and consequences of “The Mandalorian” and “Skeleton Crew”. He will guide the upcoming feature adaptation of the SCI-Fi novel “Traveler” by Joseph Eckert.

Caa and Jackoway Austen will resume.
