This coming weekend, the first two -day WWE Summerlam, will take place at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, but before the action begins “Wrestling Observer newsletter” has provided a new update for the creative plans for the event.
According to Dave Meltzer, several championships will change owners in both nights, with Wet -WWE championship Cody Rhodes defeating as a favorite to defeat John Cena for the undisputed WWE championship. In addition, it is assumed that Lyra Valkyria is recovering the Intercontinental Championship of Becky Lynch's women and that the preferred winners of the SIX pack tables, ladders and chairs for the WWE team -Team match are Andrade and Rey Fenix.
Meltzer also touched the numerous possible results for the world championships for men and revealed that the original plan was that Seth Rollins earned his money in the bank contract according to Gunther vs. Punk. Since Rollins injured the knee on Saturday evening at WWE's main event, fans have continued to ask if he was rightly injured. Meltzer claims that the punk has won the title, followed by “The Visionary”, surprisingly, but it is unknown whether WWE is still going in this direction.
As for Rhodes and Cena, Meltzer touched the possibility of a double turn in the main event, whereby “The American Nightmare” turned the baby face as heel and cena regardless of the winner. In addition, he discussed the idea that only Cena had a change of character, and explained that many expect him to return to a baby face when he was struggling in his last game in December, which apparently will take place on Saturday evening in his hometown Boston, Massachusetts.
