Jade Cargills WWE Summerlam -Match against Tiffany Stratton should be a showdown between two ascending forces in the women's department. According to Dave Meltzer, the way the match ended signaled a much greater change in WWE's prospects to the future of Cargill.
While Wrestling Observer RadioPresent Meltzer has excited Cargill's loss against Stratton in less than seven minutes and aware of how the company's booking has changed drastically in just a few months.
“Even up to two months, three months ago … I remember that I only had a few news with someone in the WWE and talked about the top people in the future. One of the names was Jade. When I told the future of women, it was Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill.
Meltzer did not hold back what this finish said about WWE's current view of Cargills.
“You can say – and everyone will deny this – but because how you booked it … I don't think someone speaks in the same light as Rhea Ripley today. And they were. When I saw the finish … see them no more as an ultimate warrior, say it. And you did it at first.”
Jade Cargill could have entered WWE with the highest potential, but this match and its abrupt end-marked a turning point. It remains to be seen whether she rests back into this upper Echelon, but WWE's message in Summerslam was loud and clear.
