David Ellison named new Paramount tour before the takeover

David Ellison set his C-Suite at Paramount Global.

With Skydance, the Mogul has officially appointed the media company for the acquisition of the media company, the people who operate the new paramount, with three segments: studios, direct-to-consumers and TV media.

“I am enthusiastic to present our new management team for managers-supported by deep industry experiences, proven success pictures and a common commitment to excellence. This world-class team is uniquely equipped in order to climb the occasion and take over our brave vision for a new paramount,” said Ellison in a explanation. “Each member was selected to increase our goals and intent to promote the transformation. Together we will promote an environment in which creative and technical talents work seamlessly and marry leading technologies with a powerful storytelling and artistic vision in order to unlock the full potential of Paramount and shape the future of our industry.”

As already announced, the former NBCuniversal CEO Jeff Shell will be president of the new Paramount. But to him will be Andy Gordon, who led the Redbird Capital office in Los Angeles and becomes the company's cooo. Redbird, which provides financial capital to support the parachute jump, has recently employed Shell.

As expected, the current co-CEO of Paramount, George Cheeks, which also heads the CBS business, will remain with the company as chairman of the TV media and add the company's cable television channels.

Cindy Holland, the former TV leader of Netflix, will guide the streaming shops of New Paramount, including Paramount+ and Pluto. Holland has been a SkyDance consultant since last year.

Jim Sterner will compete from Amazon Entertainment to lead the human resources. Stephanie Kyoko McKinnon becomes General Counsel and Melissa Zukerman Chief Communications Officer. Andrew Warren will continue as an interim CFO of the company.

Dana Goldberg, Chief Content-Content-Content officer from Skydance and the former Sony Picturer-Exec, Josh Greenstein, will lead the new Paramount Studio as co-chair.

Goldberg, a respected creative manager, will lead the film studio together with Greenstein, who has been working with Ellison and Goldberg for years when he managed marketing for Paramount before he drove to Sony, where he recently acted as a coance of Motion Picture Group. Greenstein and Goldberg will replace Brian Robbins, who was never expected to stay.

It is an open secret that Greenstein wanted more at Sony, but the likelihood that this will take place at Sony was a no-go GO when the contract of film chief, chairman Tom Rothman, was extended at the beginning of this year. At Paramount Greenstein will have the double title of a deputy chairman of platforms, while Goldberg as chairman of Paramount TV will have additional monitoring of television.

Greenstein rose through the Hollywood system on the marketing and sales side of the Ganges. But as co-president of the Sony sources film group, his last day in this job was the 1st August-Erenstein also the creative process. This gave him ammunition to fight against the occupation as a marketing type.

“Josh is a very motivated person to be successful and I like Dana very much,” says the former Paramount -Ex.

Shell, the incoming president, most recently worked with Redbird Capital, the financial partner of Skydance, when taking over Paramount, and this was previously the CEO of NBCuniversal. Shell was forced from NBCuniversal in 2023 after recognizing an inappropriate relationship with an employee of the company.

The cheeks, the only supervision of the former office of the CEO of Paramount, is a lawyer of trade and began his entertainment career as a lawyer and managing director at Viacom. It was at NBCUniversal, where he added more creative responsibility and promoted the co-chair from Entertainment before he came to Paramount in 2020 to lead CBS.

Holland immediately gives the company credibility after it was previously directed to Netflix before leaving in 2020. She advised Skydance since the end of last year, but her new role gives her formal supervision of the streaming business of Paramount, a top priority for the company under Ellison.
