Skydance revives Paramount TV Studios under Matt Thunell

A year ago, Paramount Television Studios was switched in a cost cut when the parent company was willing to merge with SkyDance.

With this deal shortly before closing, the new Paramount revitalizes the name Paramount TV Studios, which in turn will take up one of the company's two remaining studio operations and the formerly independent Skydance television.

The SkyDance TV President Matt Thunell will lead Paramount TV Studios and to Dana Goldberg, the newly mentioned co-chair of Paramount Pictures (with Josh Greenstein) and chairman of Paramount Television.

The representatives of Skydance and Paramount had not returned a request for comments at the time of publication.

The reconstituted Paramount studios are currently under Showtime/MTV Entertainment, the home of the productive creator Taylor Sheridan (The Home of the Productive Creator Yellowstone-Verse, Landman et al.), Key Showtime series like that Dexter Franchise and Yellow jacketsand Netflix Emily in Parisamong other things. Glasser, the head of 101 studios who have produced Sheridans shows and showtime co-producing The agency.

Thunell became President of Skydance TV at the end of 2022 after almost eight years at Netflix, where he supervised the development and production of series in the USA and Canada.

In its portfolio CBS studio, the former Paramount Co-Co-Ceo George Cheek will have as chairman of the company's fusion company, which also includes the company's CBS network and cable ducts.
