Walt Disney Co. integrates Hulu and Disney+ into an app, the entertainment company said on Wednesday.
During an earnings call, CEO Bob Iger said that Disney would combine the two streaming services to create a “uniform app experience” that would contain entertainment, news and sport.
“This will create an impressive entertainment package that combines brands and franchise companies with the highest caliber, great general entertainment children, programming and industry -Live sports content in a single app,” said Iger on the call. The Disney CEO added the new “Unified Disney Plus and Hulu Streaming App” in 2026.
Disney did not immediately answer the request from CBS News for comment.
Iger said the move would generate a “better consumer experience” and lead to a “higher potential for advertising revenue” by enabling the company to bring the sale of ads together more efficiently.
“I imagine that we could also give us a prize elasticity that we have never had,” I noticed Iger.
Disney too announced Wednesday the debut of a “extended ESPN app”, which can be bundled with Disney+ and Hulu with Disney+ and Hulu for $ 29.99/month.
