Lady Gaga leads the list of nominees for the 2025 Video Music Awards with nominations in 12 categories, including artists of the year. MTV and CBS announced the nominations on Tuesday for this year's VMAS, which will be awarded on Sunday, September 8th.
Other top nominated ones this year are Bruno Mars with nod in 11 categories; Kendrick Lamar with 10; Rosé and Sabrina Carpenter, each with eight; And Ariana Grande and The Weeknd with seven. Not far behind are Billie Eilish. With six; Charli XCX with five; And Bad Bunny, Doechii, Ed Sheeran, Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus and Tate McRae, which were nominated four times a piece.
The fan vote is now open to 19 categories vote.mtv.com. The vote ends on September 5 at 6 p.m. ET, with the exception of the best new artist category, which remains active until the show.
The show 2025 Video Music Awards will be broadcast on CBS and MTV from the New York UBS Arena on Sunday, September 8th, at 8 p.m. ET from 8 p.m. Paramount+.
