A little more than two weeks after his father's death, Ozzy Osbourne, the youngest child of the Metal legend, Jack Osbourne, shared a sad tribute on Instagram. “I didn't really want to publish anything since my father's death. My heart hurt too much,” he said. “I will keep it short because he certainly hated long, strict speeches.”
Osbourne's caption accompanied a video that put together clips and photos from his whole life with Ozzy. In one case, he teaches him that his father bowed properly and tells an audience good night. In other cases, Ozzy connects to the young daughters of Osbourne. The video begins with a clip of a very young Osbourne The Howard Stern ShowWhere he says it is “very cool” to call Ozzy his father.
“He was so many things for so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be separated from a very small group that” had to call him “father”, wrote Osbourne. “My heart is full of sadness and grief, but also so much love and gratitude. I have 14,501 days with this man and I know that this is such a blessing.”
Osbourne made a loss for his own words and shared Hunter S. Thompson a quote that he “best describes my father”. It is: “Life should not be a trip to the grave to get safely in a pretty and well -preserved body … but in a cloud of smoke in a cloud, thoroughly used up, totally worn.
Ozzy died of a heart attack on July 22nd and suffered from a disease of the coronary arteries and a Parkinson's disease. He was 76.
