Women world champion Naomi defends the gold this evening on RAW against Iyo Sky. Anyone who runs out of this game as a champion then steps to Stephanie Vaquer at Clash in Paris.
Iyo's application for this title was granted by General Manager Adam Pearce and led to an interesting backstage exchange between Sky and Rhea Ripley. Rhea said she hopes Iyo will win the title because she wants to beat her for it. Iyo replied by gently reminding Ripley that she would never beat her. If RHEA did not appreciate this remark, she may change about who she really wants to win this championship game.
A Ripley application would be important news, but this does not seem to be a sufficiently big game to justify it. What really noticed me in this scene was Iyo's interaction with the Kabuki warriors. They offered to help her, but she declined. Is it possible that Asuka and/or Kairi Sane Iyo's reaction see reaction as a sign of weakness or a lack of appreciation?
I think Iyo Sky has proven to be the best worker in WWE this year. Just start your match at Wrestlemania 41 again if you don't believe me. But it doesn't feel like the right time to end Naomi's world championship title, so there will probably be a kind of gimmick at the end of this title game. Will these gimmicks come in the form of another baby face that penetrates the sky? Switch on in RAW to find out.
CM Punk opens today's show. Punk has a lot to climb from his chest after Seth Rollins ended his extremely short run World champion in heavyweight With a surprise money in the bank cash-in at Summerlam. Things were only more frustrating for CM at RAW than was created by the vision. Is La Knight CM faced against Rollins against Rollins against the end of his world championship title against Rollins last week? Can these baby faces get by with each other if they are forced to join (along with Roman Reigns) to fight against Seth and his henchmen at Clash in Paris?
Last week Sami Zayn was somehow involved in the endless fight through the building between Sheamua and Rusev. Now it is Zayn against Rusev tonight, where Sami will probably get another incredible pop from the live fans in Quebec. Is the Celtic warrior plans to show up at some point to switch off Rusev with a Brogue kick?
Women -Inter continental champion Becky Lynch against Maxxine Dupri is also booked on today's show. This match came about after Natalya confronted the man and Becky Feige, instead fight against the inexperienced Dupri. Will Nikki Bella Becky achieve a repayment by finding a way to help Maxxine achieve a miracle mood?
