Danielle Spencer, a children's star, known for her role in the ABC -sitcom “What happened !!” According to reports, died in the 1970s. She was 60.
Spencer died loudly on August 11th, according to information CBS 6 And Forbes. The death of the actress followed a longer fight against cancer, CBS 6 reported. In 2014, breast cancer was diagnosed for the first time, even though she later recovered. It is not clear whether her death resulted from the same illness.
“I got into the room, there were about five doctors in there,” she said in an interview with CBS at the time, “so that the lively daylight was frightened by me. And they told me that I had breast cancer.”
After the diagnosis, she told the outlet that she chose a double mastectomy. She added that chemotherapy lasted longer due to a car accident than they had paralyzed parts of her body.
On “What happens !!” Spencer turned into a well -known name at the age of 11 and played the cheeky and quick -witted dee Thomas. The show ran three seasons in the mid -1970s and later returned to a revival: “What happens now !!” which was broadcast from 1985 to 1988.
She made her time on the show the first black female child who regularly plays in a television series, an award in an exhibition in the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington.
After her sitcom run, she decided on a career outside the screen.
Haywood Nelson, who besides Spencer in “What happened !!” went on Instagram to mourn his former co-star.
“Brillion! It comes in many forms,” wrote Haywood in A post on August 12th. “Dr. Dee, our brilliant, loving, positive, pragmatic warrior, has finally found their release from the claws of this world and a body. We celebrate Danielle Spencer and their contributions when we regret their departure and the transition from a long fight against cancer.”
“We have a daughter, a sister, a family member,” what happens “, cast member, veterinarian, animal rights representative and healer and cancer,” he added. “Our shero. Danielle is loved. It is missing in this form and is hugged forever.”
