Jeremy Strong, Mark Zuckerberg to play in “The Social Network Part II”

Jeremy Strong could soon get a permanent wave and rock a gold chain.

The Oscar candidate and the Emmy winner are the first choice to play Mark Zuckerberg in Aaron Sorkin's “The Social Network Part II”, another hyper-literate examination of the dark side of the Silicon Valley. Strong would take on the role of Jesse Eisenberg's Facebook founder, who received an Oscar nomination for the Academy Award for his performance in “The Social Network” in 2010, which Sorkin wrote and David Fincher. Sorkin leads the sequel in addition to the occupation of screenplay tasks.

Mikey Madison and Jeremy all white circle other leading roles in the follow-up. No formal offers were made.

“The Social Network” followed the creation of Facebook and the metamorphosis of Zuckerberg from the Nerdy Harvard student to Driven Tech Mogul. The sequel is based on “the Facebook files” by Jeff Horwitz. The articles published by The Wall Street Journal in 2021 examined the harmful effects of Facebook on teenagers and their use as a source of the misinformation.

Strong was nominated for an Oscar for playing Roy Cohn in “The Apprentice”. He is best known for playing Kendall Roy, the worried son of a media mogul, in HBO's “succession”. Next, Jon Favreau, the manager of Bruce Springsteens, appears in “Springsteen: Larve Me out of nowhere”. Other film loans are “Armageddon Time”, “The Trial of the Chicago 7” and “The Gentlemen”. On the stage, Strong won a tony for “enemy of the people”.

The Hollywood reporter initially reported on the news of Strong's potential casting. The WME and range are strongly shown.
