Megadth ends after 2026 album and farewell tour

Megadth will soon no longer be. The front man and co-founder Dave Mustaine announced that the Thrash Metal band will separate after the release of a new album in 2026 and a farewell tour. Details of the album and tour are scarce, but Megadth has unveiled the artwork of the album. Find this together with a video about the end of Megadth below.

“There are so many musicians who came at the end of their career, be it random or intended,” said Mustaine in a press release. “Most of them cannot go out to their own conditions, and I have just been there in my life. I traveled around the world and made millions of fans millions, and the most difficult part of all of this is to say goodbye to them.”

He continued: “We can hardly wait for you to listen to this album and see each other on tour. If there was ever a perfect time for us to bring out a new album. If there is ever a perfect time to visit the world, it is now. This is also a perfect time for us to tell you that it is our last studio album. Celebrate with me in the next few years.
