Note from the publisher: With the Good, the Bad and the ugly “Look of the Week” is a regular series that unpack the outfit of the most seven days discussed most.
Over two decades have passed since the publication of Disney's comedy film “Freaky Friday”, but at the premiere of the sequel in London on Thursday it didn't seem to be time.
The chemistry is in abundance between Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, who repeat their roles as mother Tess Coleman and daughter Anna – when they posed for photos under confetti. Even the red carpet was designed in Lilac and Green, which was reminiscent of the poster work for the original film from 2003.
Lohan, who was just 16 in the first film, further strengthened the nostalgia with its choice of outfit: a tailor-made lavender metal network dress by Ludovic de Saint Sernin, who was decorated with Swarovski crystals, and a sparkling guitar pure Judith. The ensemble could have looked known for fans of eagle eyes.
It was an ode on one of the original costumes “Freaky Friday” by Genevieve Tyrrell. In the film, Tess and Anna reach a nirvana of empathy and understanding after changing a day for a day. Tess accepts Anna's ambitions to become a professional musician, while Anna deals with her mother's new relationship. In the final scene, Anna performs with her band at the wedding of her mother and wears a purple-colored two-part cult fashion label Mandalay, which served as inspiration for Sernin's custom dress.

“I have dreamed and manifest this moment for almost 20 years” Sernin wrote on Instagram. He also thanked Andrew Mukamal, Lohan's influential stylist, who was largely attributed to the popularization method dressing after dressing Margot Robbie in a number of dug-like outfits for the “Barbie” Press Tour in 2023.
This is the second time that Lohan gave her “Freaky Friday” parile on homage through her fashion selection. Last month she was photographed in a leather mini skirt and a T -shirt, which was decorated with the words “Pink Slip” – the name of her band in the film.

From the latest restart from Beetlejuice to the publication of “Jurassic World Rebirth”, the seventh film in his franchise, Millennial Nostalgia drives a number of cultural moments in the film industry. “Freaky Friday” is an example of a cinematic relic that passed the test of the time. At the premiere, Curtis told the BBC that she was inspired to participate in the sequel because the film was “loved, all over the world”. Lohan agreed. “The fans love the film. And that's really important,” she said. “It makes you do it again.”
But maybe no fan was as excited as Sernin himself. “I feel overwhelmed by joy and love,” he wrote. “It is a full -circuit moment for me.”
