David Ellison's Skydance media presented the full selection of director Decentes for the new Paramount Skydance today. They are chosen and serve on Thursday on Thursday on the paramount board.
The board will consist of 10 members with Sherry Lansing, former chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, one of three independent directors with Barbara Byrne, the former deputy chairman of Barclays, who is currently sitting on the PAR board, and Justin G. Hamill, Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer, Silver Lake. The CEO of Oracle, Safra Catz, will also enter the board with Ellison, the founder of Redbird Capital and the managing partner Gerry Cardinale and his chairman John Thornton, the arriving president Jeff Shell as well as Chief Strategy and Chief Operating Officer Andy Gordon.
“The new board includes an outstanding group of managers from the fields of media, technology and financing, which bring unsurpassed specialist knowledge and invaluable perspective on the complex interface between geopolitics, economy and global business strategy in order to build Paramount in a next generation media company,” says the announcement. The majority of the board of directors consist of the company's largest shareholders “to further underline the deep commitment to the creation of a long -term value of all those involved”.
In July 2024, Ellison and Backer Redbird Capital announced a planned merger with Shari Redstone-controlled Paramount. The FCC was waiting for a long time last month and a lot of noise was approved. The new company announced that the Post-Merger-Executive Dienst Plan on Monday in the middle of a variety of reports on the departure of Paramount Global Execs by Co-Coos Chris McCarthy and Brian Robbins to the streaming boss Tom Ryan.

The current global directors of Paramount will withdraw to the end of the combination.
